This partnership with the local Maasai community opens an experience to visitors that is the complete opposite of a mainstream 'themed visit'.

Ample opportunity to spot all of Africa’s big game, in the famous quantitites oft-written about in the East African safari journals. Our private, sustainably-operated conservancy is a permanent home to many endangered species of mammals and birds. Botanists also enjoy in-depth study on mystical trees and plant-life. Guided by our professional experts and the finest trackers, you'll explore the wilderness with remarkable encounters. Birders can delight in spotting over 700 species along the breathtaking Rift Valley.
The ‘Singing’ Tree. The whistling thorn (Vachellia drepanolobium) is ecologically significant in Kenya because it anchors the black cotton soil savannas. The tree gets its name from the bulbous, hollow galls at the base of its thorns, which are bored into by cocktail ants. When the wind blows through these tiny holes, it creates a soft, whistling sound.
Orion entire, the one figure both halves of the sky agree on, charted here for a journey that stands astride the equator: The celestial equator threads the Hunter’s Belt, just as its earthly twin runs between your two camps. Betelgeuse burns on the sky’s northern side for Segera, and Rigel — the figure’s brightest — on the southern, for the Private Mara. On clear evenings after the short rains, Orion climbs straight overhead, under the same sky the Maasai have read for generations. Look up from the fire: the equator is written in stars.
